Doing it in public
I am just gonna do a quick post as I am speaking at a Mommy
& Me function this morning. I am not
a natural public speaker and I get terribly nervous. I was incredibly shy as a little girl and
haven’t quite lost the shyness when it comes to strangers or speaking in front
of a large group of people.
Still, I need to create as much awareness as possible for
Bosom Buddies to ensure we have sufficient resources and hopefully lots of
money.
When ever I need to speak, my tummy gets all churney. This makes me want to have a # 2! I then have the dilemma of going for a poo in
a public toilet as well as the timing issue. What if they call me name and I am on the loo and miss the talk? What if someone comes to call me and they
walk into the loo which is now stinky?
So I don’t go and sit and wait for my turn to talk. Now I have to worry about my speech as well
as my bum. Trying to be eloquent while
squeezing your bum is not easy! Think
about those telephone calls when you really need to go but you can’t tell the
person on the line so you hop around sweating profusely trying to hurry them up
without being rude.
At least at home you can have a little fart without being
bust. If your kids are still small
enough you can even get away with it completely. Sigh!
Best I be off to go to my talk today. Wish I needed the darn loo now but alas, I will have to go through this nerve wracking experience in just a few hours. Wish me luck!

LOL - funny!

Hahahaha. I know what you mean about public loos. I am completely anal (excuse the pun) when it comes to public toilets, I have been known to leave restaurants to go and have a NO 2 up the road to a family members' home. I hate aeroplane toilets/ public toilets, but when one has to go one has to go. I try and crouch instead of sitting on the toilet seat. Obsessive, I know! LOL

Checking in for an uppiedate - how did the talk go? (Or are you still locked in a cubicle somewhere????) Should I call a search party??

This is so funny. My kids have all been very unwilling to "go" away from home. They would all run home from kinder and straight to the toilet. The boys have gotten over it, but my girl (9 years) still thinks home is best for these things. Holidays always start with her holding out for a day or so, but then she just has to give in.
I went to boarding school - that fixes all sorts of inhibitions!
