So the party is over and I have that normal post mortem over analysis of the evening. Was it worth it, was it a waste of time and money, was it fun, were people bored, was it lame?
Mmmmh, I don't know but I suspect it was a tad boring as we didn't have enough people. We had WAYYYYY too much food and drink, glasses and crockery to feed multitudes and just too much of everything really.
The plus side.... it was good for everyone to get together and to see who ties in where. We had Oumie, our knitting 80 year old, we had our accountant, our card lady, representatives from all the days, the lady in charge of Macasser Hospital, our marketing girl and the rest of us chicks. We also invited 2 doulas who will be assisting Kerrin and I in running the ante-natal classes. They are Christian as well and really believe in what we do and were pretty impressed with our whole set up. So yeah, I guess it was good to mark the occasion, reflect and give Him all the glory for His faithfulness, provision and blessing He has poured out on this ministry.
OK, all good but next year we are going out to a gorg & divine restaurant and I will have no setting up stress or worrying or silly ego rejection issues that throwing a party seem to instill. Blech, I am a real poop sometimes!
