Sorry for my brief absence, becoming like sister T with my sporadic blogging! The whole tooth saga was quite hectic. She couldn't eat the whole morning and had a half a dormicum half hour before the procedure. The sedation was horrible and I was very anxious. My heart was racing and seeing her like a rag doll with half open eyes, really scary. When they pulled the tooth out I had that rush of saliva in my mouth and my maternal hormones on full throttle. I love that fierce mother bond we have with our kids, that invisible umbilical cord that relays their feelings and emotions to ours.
She was fine afterwards although had a brief crying spell. She loved the attention and the Woolies jellies and custard and those yum full cream yogurts. We took out 2 movies and I pandered to her every whim until the novelty wore off. The tooth only got put out the following night as she brought it to school for show and tell. I gave my usual written note, a tiny jar of fairy dust and a pic of the castle that she requested. She also got R20 although I did explain the tooth could only be crushed and used for cement to build the castle and other vrot teeth would only get R10. Money, movies, Woolies treats... winner mom!
Speaking of Woolies, I obviously did the sale this year. Woolies Mall, the Stellenbosch Square and then Main Road. I bought all the clothes for next season and even chucked in a few items for myself. Gary being Gary, only got undies.
Otherwise very busy with the art auction and other BB stuff. Working on few clapper issues I will be asking your advice on next week. Weather looks good for the weekend, very cold but crisp with bright blue sky. Tomorrow I go to a service at His People Church in Goodwood with my mom. They are having a Cancer Survivor Service with guest speakers. I am so proud of my spunky mother and honoured to be the daughter of a cancer survivor. Go Mom!
